Frequently Asked Questions About the Black Forest and Lake Constance

  • What is the best time of year to visit the Black Forest and Lake Constance?

The region can be visited throughout the year. Spring and early autumn are ideal for pleasant temperatures and scenic countryside, summer is excellent for Lake Constance and outdoor activities, while winter brings a quieter atmosphere and traditional Christmas markets.

  • Are the Black Forest and Lake Constance easy to combine in one trip?

Yes. The Black Forest and Lake Constance combine particularly well on a private journey through southwestern Germany. Scenic driving routes connect Freiburg, Triberg and Lake Titisee with Meersburg and Lindau, allowing both regions to be experienced comfortably within the same itinerary.

  • What should I bring for the thermal baths in Baden-Baden?

Bring swimwear and comfortable clothing if you plan to visit the thermal baths. Individual spas have their own rules and facilities, so Revigorate can advise on the requirements for the spa included or recommended during your stay.

  • What should I pack for the Black Forest and Swiss Alps?

Comfortable walking shoes, layers and a light waterproof jacket are recommended throughout much of the year. Summer travellers should also bring sun protection, while warmer clothing is advisable for mountain excursions and travel during the cooler months.
