Day 1

Arrival & Michelin Welcome Dinner

Your arrival at Turin Airport (TRN) marks the beginning of your gastronomic journey. There, your private driver awaits to escort you on a seamless 1.5-hour transfer to Relais San Maurizio, a former monastery transformed into an exclusive countryside retreat. Check into your luxury suite upon arrival and take the time to enjoy the property’s historic wine cellar and serene terraces that overlooks the vineyard-draped hills. This is your home for the week.

Indulge in a welcome dinner at Guido da Costigliole, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, once you've rest up from a long flight. Expect a tasting menu that may feature Tajarin pasta with shaved white truffle, Fassona beef tartare, hazelnut-crusted guinea fowl, Castelmagno cheese soufflé, and a Piedmont hazelnut praline dessert. Each course is perfectly paired with aged Barolo and Barbaresco wines that sets the tone for a week of culinary excellence.

Day 2

Truffle Hunting & Barbaresco Wines

Before setting off on a private transfer to the forests near Alba, take your time gett Then, meet your licensed truffle hunter and trained dogs, who will guide you on an exclusive search for Piedmont’s prized white truffles. Learn about the traditions of truffle hunting and then enjoy a tasting of freshly shaved truffle over artisanal bread and local cheese. Continue to Osteria dei Sognatori for lunch and expect tajarin pasta with white truffle, veal carpaccio with hazelnut oil, porcini risotto, and panna cotta with Barolo chinato reduction, all paired with regional wines.

Visit Produttori del Barbaresco for a guided tasting of Barbaresco vintages and a tour of the estate’s cellars and vineyard after a hearty lunch. From here, take a short stroll through Barbaresco village to see its medieval tower and sweeping vineyard views before returning to Relais San Maurizio. Day 3

Exploring Barolo & Alba’s Culinary Scene

After breakfast, a private driver will escort you to the storied village of Barolo. The day opens with a guided visit to the Barolo Wine Museum. Take the time to explore interactive exhibits that trace the history of Nebbiolo grapes and the evolution of the DOCG designation (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita designation is the highest quality classification for Italian wines). Step into the cellars of Ceretto Winery up next, for a private tour led by the estate’s sommelier. Here, you will have the chance to learn about the painstaking production process of Barolo vintages known worldwide for their complexity.

Lunch follows at Michele Chiarlo’s estate restaurant. The place offers a sweeping vineyard views from its panoramic terrace. At the Belvedere of La Morra, the view opens wide—vineyards stretching in soft waves toward the horizon. In Alba, the afternoon slows again with a visit to a local chocolatier and hazelnut artisan, where small-batch confections highlight the prized Tonda Gentile nut.
